Christine Fisher, M.D.
Dr. Christine Fisher is a board- certified plastic surgeon passionate about taking care of breast-cancer patients and safely creating a long-lasting and natural-looking result. She specializes in state-of-the-art breast-reconstruction techniques that optimize the aesthetic outcome. Fisher established her practice after graduating medical school with honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completing her residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery in Pittsburgh. She also trained in microsurgical perforator flap, such as the DIEP flap breast reconstruction, at Magee Women’s Hospital and studied microsurgery and vascularized lymph-node transfer to treat upper-extremity lymphedema in Paris. She is a Texas Super Doctor and part of the medical-school faculty at the University of Texas, having performed more than 500 DIEP flaps and more than 1,000 breast-reconstruction procedures in Austin since 2013. Her team members include experienced physician assistants and breast-cancer survivors. The staff is qualified, knowledgeable and compassionate in the care of breast-cancer patients. The focus is on restoring femininity and wholeness, done with an emphasis on safety and natural breast aesthetics. Fisher’s day starts with spin class before she returns home to get her three young children ready for school. At the end of a long day, she enjoys cookie dough and cold beer. On weekends, she relaxes by enjoying outdoor activities such as horseback riding with her family.
