Dr. Mona Lin Ridgeway attended Harvard University, where she published several journal articles on polymer science. During college, she worked as a counselor in a domestic violence shelter. She graduated with honors with a BA degree in chemistry. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and then moved to California, where she completed her internal-medicine internship/residency at Stanford University Hospital. She remained at Stanford to complete a fellowship in gastroenterology/hepatology. During her fellowship, she published several journal articles on gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Dr. Ridgeway worked as a gastroenterologist in Seattle for several years before joining Austin Gastroenterology in 2005. She is board certified in gastroenterology/ hepatology. She has an interest in general gastroenterology, IBD, and colon cancer screening. She has served as chief of gastroenterology for the Seton network of hospitals since 2010. In 2013, she was named by her peers as one of Austin’s top doctors in Austin Monthly magazine.

In her spare time, Dr. Ridgeway enjoys cooking, running and spending time with her husband and 8-year-old daughter.
